Farmers Corner at Bells Bend
We are here to bring Nashvilles first Living Building to Bells Bend.
What is a Living Building?
A living building is a structure that is built with reused or non toxic materials, designed to produce more energy and water than it consumes while fostering a healthy, equitable, and beautiful space.
It redefines sustainability by requiring net positive environmental and social impacts, and sets a global standard for innovative, resilient design.
While several of these structures are being built all over the nation, there has yet to be one designed in the ever growing city of Nashville.

Our Organization
Members of the Bells Bend Conservation Corridor, the International Living Future Institute, owners of Bells Bend Bistro, and a group of Vanderbilt Civil Engineering students teamed up last year to start designing Nashvilles first living building in Bells Bend.
Our goal for this building is for it to function as a vibrant community center, a cafe for visitors and neighbors to enjoy, that also supports local businesses and preserves the beauty of this special Nashville neighborhood.
